Ph.D. student
Department of Applied Science and Technology, Politecnico di Torino
Biography
Michael Zanon received his B.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering at Università degli Studi di Ferrara in 2015. After some years abroad in Australia, he enrolled for his M.Sc. degree in Materials Engineering at Politecnico di Torino. For his Master's thesis, he spent a semester at Almaden IBM Research Center in San Jose (CA) working on the development of polymeric e-noses for VOCs sensing. In 2019, he worked for developing silicone-based thermal conductive films for sensing applications, in collaboration between Photopolymer Research Group and OSAI S.A. Spa (Ivrea). In 2019, he started his PhD in the Photopolymer Research Group. The aim of his research is to develop and synthesize photocurable hydrogels for tissue engineering with tailored properties.
