Rossella Sesia

Ph.D. student

Department of Applied Science and Technology, Politecnico di Torino

Biography

Rossella Sesia achieved her M.Sc. degree in Environmental Chemistry at Università degli Studi di Torino in 2021, working on her thesis “Study on the fate of emerging contaminants in river waters” by high resolution mass spectrometry under the supervision of Prof. Paola Calza (Dipartimento di Chimica, UniTo). In January 2022, she started her Ph.D. in and at Politecnico di Torino. Her Ph.D. program is focused on “Circular economy and new applications of polyphenols” in collaboration with CRCF S.r.l. (Silvateam Spa – San Michele Mondovì – Italy). The project involves on the development of sustainable tannins-based materials to use them in industrial and environmental field. In detail, she is working on photopolymerization of bio-based and UV-cured for pollutants removal from water.
